ST. ANSELM
Have a pleasant day to you . I
would like to discuss about Anselm of Canterbury or must we called St. Anselm . Anselmo d’Aosta (St. Anselm) He was born on between
April 1033 to 1034 around Aosta in Upper Burgundy . Also
he was a Benedictine monk , Abbot , Philosopher and Theologian of the Chatolic
Church , Who held the the office of Archbishop of Canterbury from 1093 to 1109
. And died on April 11 1109 . After his death , he was canonized as a saint his
feast day is 21 of April.
Anselm Composed
Dialogues and treatises with a rational and philosophical approach , sometimes
causing him to be credited as the founder of Scholasticism . Despite his lack
of recognition in this field in his own time , Anselm is now famed as the
originator of the Ontological Argument of the existance of god and of the
satisfaction of theory of atonement . Also he was proclaimed a Doctor of the
Church by a bull of Pope Clement XI in 1720. As Archibishop , He defended the church’s interests in England amid the Investiture of
Controversy . For his resistance to the England king’s William II and Henry I ,
he was exiled twice once from 1097 to 1100 and then from 1105 to 1107 while in
exile , he helped guide the Greek Bishops of Southern italy to adopt roman
rites at the Council of Bari . He worked
for the primacy of Canterbury over the bishops of Yorks and Wales but , though his death the
appeared to have been successful , Pope Paschal II later reversed himself and restored york’s
independence.
The ontological
contentions are theoretical in generally the accompanying sense: similarly as
the suggestions constituting the idea of a lone wolf infer that each lone
ranger is male, the recommendations constituting the idea of God, as indicated
by the ontological contention, suggest that God exists. There is, obviously,
this distinction: while the idea of a single man unequivocally contains the
suggestion that lone wolves are unmarried, the idea of God does not expressly
contain any recommendation attesting the presence of such a being. All things
being equal, the fundamental thought is the same: ontological contentions
endeavor to demonstrate that we can reason God's presence from, in a manner of
speaking, the very meaning of God.
In
some ways the arguments for the existence of God combat each other, in asking
which one is more convincing. there are empirical arguments along with a
rationalistic argument. Anselm, Paley, and Aquinas are the three significant leaders
in the philosophy world for finding an argument for the existence of God. The
question that is being posed is which is more convincing, Anselm’s
rationalistic proof, or the empirical arguments. And thr purely materialistic
which making matter the only reality . believing god is the one who can praise
something in this world.
The vast majority of the contentions for God's presence depend on no
less than one observational commence. Illustration, the adjusting rendition of
the outline contention relies upon experimental proof of keen plan;
specifically, it turns on the observational case that, as a nomological matter,
that is, as an issue of law, life couldn't have created if certain principal
properties of the universe were to have varied even somewhat from what they
are. Similarly, cosmological contentions rely upon certain exact claims about
the clarification for the event of observational occasions.
Agnostic Bertrand Russell said that it is considerably simpler to state
that the ontological contention is no great than it is to state precisely what
isn't right with it! In any case, ontological contentions are not extremely
prominent in most Christian circles nowadays. To begin with, they appear to
make one wonder in the matter of what God resembles. Second, subjective
interest is low for non-devotees, as these contentions tend to need target
bolster. Third, it is hard to just express that something must exist by
definition. Without great philosophical help for why a thing must exist, just
characterizing something into reality is bad reasoning. These issues in any
case, a few unmistakable scholars today keep on working on this more uncommon
type of religious contention.
I choose his famous philosophy
called “Ontological Argument”its just like how god exist . in arguments with
the premises which may concern modal claims about god . Also the possibility of
God’s attributes and existence . Suppose that we are agree to think about the
possibility in terms of possible or interesting part word . GOD EXIST IN AT
LEAST ONE POSSIBLE WORLD it indicates that it is possible to that god can exist
in one to many that he can show you something thats why i choose this
philosophy of St. Anselm
It is essential to demonstrate why the subject
you are talking about is imperative, particularly if there are different points
that could be contemplated set up of the one you are examining. For this
situation, the dialog is on Saint Anselm and his Ontological Argument. There
have been different contentions made before Saint Anselm on God's presence
